This chapter shows us the story of a woman who was desperate enough to want to receive something from
God which she knew she didn’t deserve due to her position and background, the fact that she wasn’t a
Jew. As we see it here she referred to Jesus as “Son of David”, which is a messianic title revealing
the fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies for Israel (see 2 Samuel 7: 12-13).
